Have you ever met a couple who just turned your heart into mush? That’s exactly what happened when Rebecca reached out to me from a previous photographer. She texted me late on a Monday and asked if we could chat about her elopement on Saturday morning the same week. OF COURSE.
We chatted and she told me about her and Charlie’s journey. They had been together for a few years and she was his Spanish teacher. They spent a few years traveling the world together before the pandemic shut things down. During the pandemic, they spent a lot of time together, playing board games, practicing language, and calling friends and family. Finally, they both decided to tie the knot.
A Second Chance at Love
Charlie and Rebecca were both previously married and neither of them thought that they would find someone else after their previous marriages. And here they are, five years later, married and so wildly in love. They are not your typical couple and I rarely get to work with couples who get a second chance at love. Their sweet vows and the fact that Rebecca’s brother flew in from South America to witness their wedding just melted my heart.
A Beautiful Elopement in the Moon Viewing Garden
The couple got married in San Francisco’s Botanical Gardens at the Moon Viewing Garden. It was a beautiful and intimate ceremony surrounded by nature and the beauty of the garden. The peaceful setting was perfect for their vows and the love that they shared. It was a privilege to be a part of such a special day and to capture the love and joy between Charlie and Rebecca.
Charlie and Rebecca’s elopement in the San Francisco Botanical Garden’s MoonView Garden was a beautiful and heartwarming celebration of love and second chances. Their story and their love is a testament to the fact that it’s never too late to find love and happiness. Congratulations to the newlyweds! I’m so thankful I was able to capture these memories.
