Anjali and Praveen went with some Bay Area iconic locations for their maternity photoshoot! Baker Beach in San Francisco and the Wood line in the Presidio are two of my favorite locations to photograph folks. They are about 15 minutes from each other and gives clients two very different vibes for photos.
One moment you’re walking down a wooded and tree-lined path, the next you’re strolling along the beach looking at the Golden Gate Bridge. Could it get any better?
These two got so lucky with a gorgeous sunny day in the city! I know so many people think that summer time means clear days in San Francisco, but our little city is quirky. August, also known as Fogust means that more often than not you’ll have little visibility of the bridge. September and October continue to be our least foggy months! Soooo if you’re craving those iconic views but actually want to see the views, try the fall for your photoshoot.
Otherwise, I say embrace the fog. I think the fog alone is a San Francisco icon! Plus the overcast skies, the wind all create super romantic and cinematic photos.
Location Notes
While I love these locations, one thing to note about them is that they get very busy! Since they are iconic San Francisco locations, they usually have crowds of people at them, especially on the rare sunny days in the city. To avoid some of the crowds, try doing your photoshoot on the weekend or on a Friday. Another good option? A super early morning session!
Enjoy their gorgeous session! And so many congratulations to Praveen and Anjali!
