Northern California Coastal Engagement Session | Kirsten + Geoff
Oh my gosh – Kirsten & Geoff are getting married!
I’ve known Kirsten for quite some time now and am so lucky to be one her bridesmaids in her wedding. When she asked me to photograph her engagement session, I was BESIDE myself. OF COURSE I’M GOING TO PHOTOGRAPHY MY BESTIE BEFORE SHE WALKS DOWN THE AISLE!
We wanted to find a location that showcased their love for the water but was close another location for variety. So, we headed to one of my favorite Northern California Coastal towns, Davenport Beach for some cliff side fun. After we took the short drive through Felton, to get to another location, I am obsessed with – Henry Cowell Redwood Park! Where changed the pace from fun-seaside-session to intimate-redwood-love story.
The one thing about photographing your best friend, is you really get to see a new side of them. I’ve known Kirsten as my sassy best friend, who has always offered a listening ear and loyal hand when in need. Watching her cuddle up with her fiance and just take a moment to celebrate their love, was such an exciting moment to capture on camera.

Wedding days end, newborns become toddlers, and parents become grandparents. These moments go by so fast. You deserve to live fully in them, to be present, and then relive them through imagery that tells your story. Photography is more than just a picture, it’s a way to document your history. Photographer, dog mom, book hoarder, and Trader Joe’s loyalist. I’m a Pisces, an ENFJ, and an Enneagram 3, which basically means I feel everything, care deeply, and always have a running to-do list (with color coding).
These days, I’m also figuring out life as a new mom — balancing baby snuggles with camera gear and reminding myself to slow down and soak it all in. I’ve built a career out of noticing the details, chasing the light, and turning everyday moments into art.
