Since we moved to the East Bay this year, it was important to me that I start to explore more of this side of the bay area and serve the community here as well. So, I was super excited to scout and offer a location that was close to my Pleasanton families. I had a few people who actually made the trip from Tracy and Pleasant Hill for their session – thank you, you guys rock!
I met my families at Alviso Adobe park for an afternoon of exploring and playing. Mini sessions are short 20-minute photoshoots that I offer twice a year. I offer these to families, couples, and individuals who want just a few photos to update their walls and holiday cards.
Alviso Adobe is a little park in Pleasanton that offers cute adobe buildings, tons of trees, hills, cacti, and a cute wooden bridge. For families who like variety, this is the perfect place to get a bunch of different backgrounds. I can’t wait to keep shooting here!
A few tips for taking your photos at Alviso Adobe:
The park is right behind a hill, so sunset comes really fast! This can move your start time up a little to ensure you get beautiful light.
This is a popular spot for photographers – weekdays are a lot less busy. If you’re there for a weekend session, expect to share the space with other creatives and their clients.
This location offers trees, buildings, and cacti – it’s filled with whites, greens, and golds. I told my clients that neutral or jewel-tone palettes are great outfits.
There’s a small parking lot at the bottom of Old Foothill Road, but I prefer to park on the street and meet at the entrance there.
The trees in this area won’t turn fall colors until November! This session was in October and you can still see lots of green.
Enjoy the previews from this year’s fall mini-sessions! Contact me for your next family photo session in the bay area.
