About once a year, I offer family mini sessions. These are quick 15 to 20 minute photoshoots held back to back on a set date, time, and location. Minis are perfect for families, maternity, or couples looking to update their photos. I typically host them in the fall to help families get ready for holiday cards, and clients usually receive 15 to 20 images.

When families ask how often to book photos, I always say every year should be a photo year. Your family changes so much, and it deserves to be documented. Alternate between a full session one year and a mini the next. And of course, if there’s a big milestone like a new baby, new home, or new pup, that definitely calls for a full session.
